Mommy Makeover
Some women say they never felt more beautiful than when they were pregnant. But many women are disappointed when their body does not “bounce back” to its pre-baby appearance. After pregnancy, it is not uncommon to have excess, sagging skin, stubborn fat, lax abdominal muscles, and breasts that aren’t what they used to be. Being a mother herself, Dr. Christa Clark understands first-hand the changes your body goes through during and following pregnancy, as well as the feelings and concerns moms face. She performs custom plastic surgery procedures, called the Mommy Makeover, to help Sacramento and Granite Bay women restore their bodies and breasts to their pre-baby shape, or even better!
Dr. Clark takes the time to get to know you and understand your lifestyle and your needs. She is committed to helping you achieve results you’ll love from your Mommy Makeover. Contact us for more information about Dr. Clark or the procedures she offers.
Is a Mommy Makeover for You?
A Mommy Makeover is not just one surgical procedure; it is a combination of surgical procedures that are unique to you and your specific concerns. Depending on what you would like to address, a Mommy Makeover may involve some of the following procedures:
Most of the time in Sacramento, a Mommy Makeover combines liposuction, tummy tuck, and breast surgery, but it is entirely dependent on the individual and her needs. When you meet with Dr. Clark for a consultation, she will discuss your goals with you, and help determine which procedures may provide your desired results.
Mommy Makeover Explained
Depending on which procedures you and Dr. Clark choose, she will most likely begin by performing liposuction, removing any excess fat usually from around the midsection. Once the excess fat has been removed, Dr. Clark can perform a tummy tuck to remove any excess skin and tissue, as well as tighten the underlying abdominal muscles. Once the midsection has been tightened and contoured, Dr. Clark can turn the focus to the breasts, which may require lifting or even breast implants. The length of a Mommy Makeover depends on which procedures are being performed.
Recovery and Results
Depending on which surgical procedures you undergo, recovery time will vary. In general, after the procedures are performed, a support garment will be worn around the midsection, and the breasts will be wrapped in order to help them retain their new shape. For most women, about 3 to 6 weeks is all they need to return to most activities.
